The Minor Ailment Service is a service provided by our local pharmacy's for all GP registered patients. Patients can self-refer to this scheme for ailments as listed below, they do not need to attend their GP in order to avail of this service.
The following conditions/ailments may be treated under the Minor Ailments Service at your local Pharmacy:
- Diarrhoea
- Headlice
- Threadworms
- Vaginal thrush
- Athlete's Foot
- Dhobie itch
- Mouth Ulcers
- Ear Wax
- Cold Sores
- Oral Thrush
Treatments for coughs, colds, sore throats, nasal symptoms and allergic rhinitis are no longer available under the pharmacy minor ailments scheme. Patients suffering from these conditions can attend our Nurse Practitioner, appointments can be made either online, with a receptionist, at the front desk or by telephoning the surgery.
